Dear caregiver, I will need your support in helping your child, especially since you are the most important person in their life.

Parental involvement is vital to the healing and effectiveness of a child’s therapy treatment. As social beings, we develop our understanding of who we are, who others are, and how safe the world is in our earliest relationship experiences. Having a caregiver’s presence in therapy can give a child the opportunity to sort out and make sense of the life events that may be contributing to their present day difficulties. Don’t worry, your kiddo will get their solo time in their sessions, however, parent(s) will be highly encouraged to join their child in at least some of their session time.

Please note, I only work with kiddos ages 8 and up.

Adult Individual Therapy

I love working with clients, particularly first and second generation women of color, who are motivated to break generational cycles of harm in their family. If you are the person who has been made to feel like you are “too sensitive/emotional,” “different,” or like the black sheep of your family for wanting to do things differently than you were raised to, I see you and am happy you are taking this important step in your healing journey.

If you are someone who is ready to release old patterns of thinking and behaving that are no longer serving you, then I may be the therapist for you. Through collaborative work, we will identify wounds that occurred in your life. We will work together to offer some comfort and safety to those hurt younger versions of you that may be showing up often and affecting your ability to live the life you not only desire but deserve. I will support you in your process of discovering, reconnecting to, and strengthening the person you were always meant to be.
